Mike Smith with the fail of the night! (Video)

Mike Smith is quickly becoming a household name in the NHL, and for all the wrong reasons. First he had the now infamous "butt-goal" in an overtime game last season against the Buffalo Sabres. The "butt-goal" essentially had the puck drop into the back of his pants, then Smith proceeded to throw himself into the net scoring the overtime winner against his own team. Well last night he may have topped even that colossal failure. He basically gave a gimme to Anaheim Ducks forward Kyle Palmieri and allowed him to open up the scoring. Smith attempted to play the puck behind the net, instead of moving the puck out however he fell flat on his butt leaving the net wide open in front and allowing the Ducks to score.
