The former NHL enforcer snaps and attacks his own teammate.
Former National Hockey League enforcer Milan Lucic was once again making headlines over the weekend, albeit for all the wrong reasons. Lucic, who now plays for the Fife Flyers of the United Kingdom's Elite Ice Hockey League, was recently caught on camera letting his temper get the better of him.
The incident in question came at the end of a game between the aforementioned Flyers and the Glasgow Clan Ice Hockey Club, but the Glasgow Clan wasn't involved in this altercation at all. Instead the altercation would occur between teammates on the Fife Flyers with Lucic seemingly attacking teammate Logan Neilson without any provocation.
To make matters worse for Lucic the entire incident was caught on camera, and the video does not paint him in a favorable light. At the start of the video we can see a clearly agitated Lucic gesturing towards Neilson in an angry manner, but nothing initially comes of it. Lucic however closes the distance and I have to believe he had bad intentions in mind, because he quickly struck Neilson with a stiff shot to the face.
The gesture prompted a loud reaction from the fans in attendance who clearly did not approve of the behavior on display from the former NHL enforcer.
You can see video of the incident below:
No word yet on whether or not Lucic may face disciplinary action for his behavior.
