Ever since the Red Wings drafted Johan Franzen in 2004, he has undoubtedly made this hockey club better. Given the nickname "The Mule" by none other than Steve Yzerman, he surely lives up to his moniker as he has a history of coming through in the clutch for Detroit. An imposing figure on the ice (6'3/220 lbs), he is not afraid to rough it up with anyone. He also has a scoring touch that few men of his stature possess. In 567 games, Franzen has scored 180 times and has tallied 347 points in that span. He also holds many Wings playoff records including the record for most goals in a single playoff series (9).
