Must see: Brutal own goal by the Canucks

Loui Eriksson did not have the start he wanted with his new team.

The first goal he scored with his new team was into his own net. The worst part, it was the Canucks first game and it was at home. What a way to start the season.

It came as the Flames had a delayed penalty and Eriksson controlled the puck. He was hounded by 4 Flames as they tried to get the whistle. Loui was heading back towards his bench with the puck as both teams were changing. Within the madness, Eriksson tried to drop the puck back to his defenseman Erik Gudbranson. However, his pass was way off and ended up going past Gudbranson and into the net. Gudbranson tried desperately to stop the puck by sliding back was too far and just crashed into the net after the puck had already gone in.

Hopefully for Eriksson, his next goal is in the opposing net.
