The war was declared between the Vernon Vipers and the Kelowna Warriors on Wednesday! It seems these two teams can’t meet this season without some fireworks, they were involved in several scraps this season. A couple of line brawls took place again in this week' Vipers 3-0 win. Vernon had a 1-0 lead mid-way in the 3rd period, when Anthony Latina fed Luke Shiplo who scored. Latina then made contact with Kelowna's netminder Andy Desautels... Warriors Mac Ferner immediately proceed to punish the Vipers player, which sparked some wrestling duels. Fun fact: Mac Ferner is the son of Vipers head coach Mark Ferner! Ferber and Latina continued having words, even once in the penalty box! 5 minutes later, after another scoring chance Rylan Yaremko and T.J. Dumonceaux went at it. In the end, 5 players were thrown out of the game.
