This goal is called; the Lacrosse shot.

A move many of you may have already seen as Sidney Crosby did it during his time in the QMJHL with the Rimouski Oceanics. Even more impressive, Mikael Granlund did it while representing his country (Finland) at the 2011 IIHF World Cup.

Last night, Kalle Kossila rendered his version of the Lacrosse goal and this might very well be the AHL goal of the year. This goal is one you must see as this kind of move only appears once per 5-year or so! And if this sounds like a let down to you, this commentator will not.

"There is no country that would not bow to the greatness of that goal."
