One of the Greatest Hockey Movie Is Turning 40 Today
Every hockey fans know at least one quote from the popular movie Slap shot. It turns out that the movie is turning 40 years old today. Directed by George Roy Hill and written by Nancy Dowd in 1977, Slap Shot was about a minor league hockey team that resorts to violent play with the Hanson brothers to gain popularity in a declining factory town.
