Before we get into the details we just wanna begin by saying major hats off to Ryan Dzingel for coming back into the game after this, what an absolute freaking monster.

For those who missed it, Dzingel was struck in the head by a shot from teammate Erik Karlsson on Thursday night and from the way he reacted on the ice it was crystal clear immediately that he was badly hurt. We would go on to learn that in fact his ear had been so badly damage it needed to be reconstructed, a report confirmed by Murray Pen of the Hockey News directly from head coach Guy Boucher.

After having his ear rebuilt by medical staff and after passing the National Hockey League's concussion protocol Dzingel unbelievably returned to and finished the game helping his Ottawa Senators take a 3-1 win over the Bruins.
