NHL Player Safety comes for Marchand after slash on Kochetkov
The Bruins forward is no stranger to supplemental discipline.

NHL Player Safety has fined Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand $5,000 for slashing Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov.
In case you missed it, Marchand and Kochetkov had a bit of a stand off midway through the game during a stoppage in play.

Marchand, of course, is no stranger to supplemental discipline and I wondered if his past history may have gotten him a one game suspension for this relatively minor transgression. Thankfully though, NHL Player Safety didn't feel that this offense is egregious enough to warrant a suspension which is something I think most reasonable hockey fans would agree with.
