NHL prospect undresses defense on ridiculous goal.

While their team didn't play on Tuesday the Red Wings faithful still had something to be excited about. One of their young prospects currently playing for their AHL affiliate Grand Rapids Griffons scored a ridiculous goal against the Charlotte Checkers. After picking the pocket of Charlotte's Dennis Robertson 20-year old winger Andreas Athanasiou completely undressed defenseman Mike Cornell with a great move before beating the goalie with a beautiful backhand goal. It's a glimpse into the level of talent Andreas Athanasiou brings to the table, and another sign that the Red Wings have one of the deepest minor league systems in the league. Here's the video.
