NHL veteran's attempt to make a kid smile backfires horribly.

I feel bad for both the little guy and the big in this story. 

On Thursday night National Hockey League veteran Michael Del Zotto was trying to put a smile on the face of a young fan standing by the glass with his father during warm ups, unfortunately things went terribly wrong. 

The little guy didn't appreciate the gesture from Del Zotta at all, and instead was visibly upset and turned away from the Vancouver Canucks defenseman. You could tell Del Zotto felt terrible about the incident, but he did go back later and give the young man a puck to try and win him over.
