NHLer is a bloody mess after taking a hard shot to the face at close range.

Vladislav Namestnikov looks a little less pretty than he did before the start of tonight's game.

The Tampa Bay Lightning center sacrificed his body on Thursday night to block a shot from Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander, and unfortunately he paid a heavy price.

The shot from Nylander went directly up into Namestnikob's face leaving him in obvious pain and it was clear by the time he made it to the bench that he was a bloody mess as well. To make matters worse, this is likely to be a meaningless game with the Lightning 5 points out of playoff contention.
