The Edmonton Oilers have fired their goaltending coach Frederic Chabot and have replaced him with Dustin Schwartz. [embed][/embed] Chabot was let go mostly due to the fact that the Oilers goaltending sits last in save percentage and that something had to be done to show a very frustrated fan base that changes will be made to try to rectify the situation. The Oilers goaltending has been sub par this season and their .883 save percentage is pretty bad. Both Ben Scrivens and Victor Fasth have had their moments but consistency has been lacking. It might not be the biggest move, but might get both goaltenders attention and get them both to refocus. Obviously the Edmonton defense will have to be better as well. Here are some comments from Ben Scrivens that was tweeted by the Oilers official account. [embed][/embed]
