It looks more like an old crappy piece of wood more than anything, but this old hockey stick just made Mark Presley a nice profit. Presley bought the stick from a barber in Nova Scotia for $1,000 dollars back in 1998, and yesterday he sold it for a whopping $300,000 dollars. The buyer was the Canadian Museum of History located in Gatineau Quebec, and the reason for the semingly insane price tag, is that this old piece of carved wood is believed to be the oldest hockey stick in the world. Carved out of sugar maple wood, in the 1830's the sick now known as the "Moffat Stick" will now be displayed n the museum for all Canadians to see.
