Nick Cotsonika report last night that the NHL has interviewed legendary Devils defenseman Scott Stevens for a possible position with the NHL's player safety committee. While TSN insider Bob Mckenzie insisted that the move is by no means a "done deal" it fits with the NHL's recent patterns following the controversial  hiring of former NHL enforcer Chris Pronger. Scott Stevens delivered his fair share of head shots, althought at the time they were legal, so he does have a pretty good idea of what is and what isn't a legal hit. The question is now that the "hitters" are being put in these positions, when will the "hitees" like Paul Kariya who's career was ended by Stevens get their shot. In case you don't know, or forgot who Stevens is, here are some of his most brutal hits. Is the NHL making the right call hiring former enforcers? Leave us your thoughts in the comments below.
