Montreal Canadiens legend, and Hockey Hall of Fame member Jean Beliveau has passed away today at the age of 83. Beliveau is widely regarder as one of the greatest to ever play the game, a claim very much supported by his 2nd most all time 10 Stanley

Montreal Canadiens legend, and Hockey Hall of Fame member Jean Beliveau has passed away today at the age of 83. Beliveau is widely regarder as one of the greatest to ever play the game, a claim very much supported by his 2nd most all time 10 Stanley Cup championships.The only player to ever win more was his line mate Henri Richard. Beliveau was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972 only one year after finishing his NHL career, a career that same him record 1219 points, including 507 goals over the course of his 1125 career games.  Beliveau was also the 2nd player in NHL history to reach the 1,000 point plateau, the only man do to it before him is Red Wings legend Gordie Howe. Beliveau was considered one of the true gentlemen of hockey, no one ever had a bad word to say about him, in the following video you will see many of hockey's greats reflecting on the career of Jean Believeau, Hockey Legend.
