Oshie kicks Williams' stick out of his hand before scoring a beautiful goal!

What a play by Oshie!

I'm not convinced he did this one on purpose but if he did what a play this was.

On Saturday the Washington Capitals and the Carolina Hurricanes faced off for Game 2 of their first round series in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs and it was all Washington in the early going of the first period. The Capitals came storming out of the gate and took an early 1 - 0 lead off the back of a goal from veteran forward Nicklas Backstrom and it would not be long before the Capitals would get their second of the game.

When compared to the tip in from Backstrom earlier in the period the goal from Washington Capitals T.J. Oshie was one of pure beauty and one that came largely off the back of a terrific effort from the Washington Capitals. An outlet pass broke the Capitals into the Carolina Hurricanes zone and a quick drop off had the puck on the blade of Oshie's stick, and that is when he made the magic happen.

The Capitals veteran forward put on a great move to beat goaltender Petr Mrazek but the best part of that move was how he kicked the stick right out of the hands of Hurricanes captain Justin Williams on the play, leaving him with no way to get the puck from Oshie and resulting in Washington's second goal of the game.

Absolutely a must see moment from this series.
