Ovechkin sets a new franchise record last night! (VIDEO)

One of the league's premier forwards set a new franchise record last night when he scored on the power play to put his team up 2-1. That would be the final score between the Colorado Avalanche and the Washington Capitals, making it Alex Ovechkin's 74th career game winning goal, a new Washington Capitals record. The goal put him past legendary Capital Peter Bondra leaving Ovechkin all alone at #1 on the list. The goal marked Ovechkin's 22nd of the year, and a league leading 10th on the power play.
