Bauer and Imama went toe-to-toe in a lengthy heavyweight scrap that could be the longest fight of the NHL season so far!
The Winnipeg Jets and Florida Panthers gave hockey fans quite a show on Friday, but it was a heavyweight showdown between Tyrel Bauer and Boko Imama that stole the spotlight.
The two tough guys dropped the gloves during the first period and delivered one absolutely wild fight, trading punches for well over a minute in an exchange that could very well be the longest fight of the NHL season so far.
And neither man seemed particularly interested in calling it a night. Bauer and Imama went the distance, refusing to back down as the fight continued well beyond the length of a typical NHL scrap. It was an exhausting display of toughness from both players, and one that had all the makings of an instant highlight.
Watch the intense scrap below:
For Bauer, this is becoming quite the early-season trend. The Jets defenseman has now been involved in three fights already this season, making it clear that he isn't afraid to drop the gloves when the opportunity presents itself.
The latest showdown came during Winnipeg's October 27 matchup against Florida, and it's certainly one that deserves a replay.
Watch the entire fight below. If this isn't one of the wildest scraps we've seen so far this season, it's certainly in the conversation.
