Pavel Datsyuk had a beautiful goal taken away last night in the Wings’ game against the Montreal Canadiens. As Datsyuk comes in on a 2 on 1 with Justin Abdelkader, the latter stops inches from Canadiens goaltender Carey Price with one foot in the crease. The contact is there but Carey price also does a good job of embellishing the interference. Datsyuk pulls off a backhanded spin-o-rama and roofs it for the goal. The referee determined Abdelkader had done enough to have the goal called back. Unfortunate for Datsyuk who would have likely been on every highlight reel this week with that beauty. Did the referee make the right call?
