Penguins forward falls to the ice and takes a skate to the face!

That one is gonna leave a mark.

Poor Pittsburgh Penguins forward Patric Hornqvist was the victim of an unfortunate accident on Monday night when he took a skate blade to the face after falling to the ice.

Hornqvist first fell and then appeared to almost baseball slide face first into the skate blade of Washington Capital Matt Niskanen, a man who has quickly become public enemy #1 in Pittsburgh.

The trainers attempted to stop the bleeding the bench but eventually Hornqvist was forced to go back to the locker room for some repairs. That being said we don't expect the injury to keep him out for long at all.
