Peter Forsberg started his career with the Flyers, However brief it may have been at the time, he still put on the orange and black at the 1991 entry draft. He was then traded to Quebec as part of the deal for Eric Lindros. Forsberg went on to have an amazing career in the NHL and in hockey period. Peter won 2 Stanley Cups, 2 Olympic golds, 2 World Championship golds. He also won the Calder Trophy in 1995 and he won the Art Ross Trophy and Hart Memorial Trophy in 2003. Forsberg made his Flyers debut during the 2005-06 season where his picked up 75 point in only 60 games played. The following year he became the Flyers' fifteenth captain in franchise history. He was then traded to Nashville during the same season. Is it coincidence of how much Forsberg and Lindros' careers resembled each other? Both players had great careers but were however cut short / marred by  injuries. The only blemish on such a great career for Peter Forsberg was the injury prone factor. He ended his career with 885 points in only 708 games played in the NHL. We can only imagine how many points he would have finished with if he had been healthy his entire career and be able to play more than 1000 games. Take for example Joe Sakic who played 1378 games and a large part of them with Forsberg, if we take Forsberg's 1.25 points per game average and compare it to the amount of games Sakic played, Forsberg might had finished with 1722 points which would have put him past Sakic for career points and into 9th all time. Obviously we cannot say that would have truly happened, but it's always fun to wonder what if. Here is his HHOF speech, courtesy of NHL.com: [iframe id="" mode="normal"]
