It was a bitter sweet moment for
Andre Burakovsky of the Washington Capitals last night as he led his team to a 4-3 victory over the Florida Panthers.
Sweet because Burakovsky scored the first game winning goal of his NHL career afteer the Capitals had forbidden him to play for his native Russia at the World Junior Championships. After taking a sweet pass from Washington Capitals star Alexander Ovechkin, Bruakovsky put one past Luongo and secured the victory.

But the moment was also bitter, because after scoring that very first game winning goal, Burakovsky was punched in the face by his teammate and his fellow countryman
Marcus Johansson! Burakobsky was high fiving the Capitals bench we he took the unexpected shot to the face which you can see here.

We have to assume it was unintentional, but it did provide a few chuckles for the fans in attendance.
