Well you certainly do not see this everyday. New York Rangers defenseman Kevin Klein suffered a brutal cut in the first period of their 4-3 overtime win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night. He was high sticked by Penguins forward Zach Sill. According to Rangers coach Alain Vigneault, Klein needed 13 stitches to literally reattach part of his ear. Klein not only returned to the game, but scored the game winner in overtime to complete a Rangers comeback. It was his sixth of the season. What a warrior! As mentioned early he unbelievably came back into the game and scored this OT winner. Video courtesy NHL.
