A linesman ended up on the receiving end during a chaotic Flames-Blackhawks scrum.

Thursday night in Chicago, tensions boiled over between the Calgary Flames and Blackhawks, and almost everyone on the ice got caught in the chaos.

Towards the end of the second period, a scrum erupted after Flames’ Kevin Bahl decked Oliver Moore, prompting Ryan Donato to jump in and fight, and suddenly it was mayhem.

Amid the chaos, Hawks’ Artyom Levshunov, being pulled away from Dryden Hunt, accidentally swiped a linesman.

Yes, you read that right. The official got caught in the crossfire, earning an unexpected role in one of the wildest moments of the night.
