PREVIEW: Rookies Rock the Roster

Tonight at 8:00 PM (ET) the Chicago Blackhawks face off against the St. Louis Blues for the first game of the 2016-2017 NHL regular season.

Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa will be hitting the ice for their debut appearances with Chicago this year.

Niklas Hjalmarsson will be missing the opening match due to a three game suspension and Andrew Desjardins is still on IR suffering a lower body injury.

Rookies rock the roster as a total of six new faces have been signed with Chicago. Tyler Motte lines up with Ryan Hartman and Vincent Hinostroza skates side by side with Nick Schmaltz.

With the addition of these fresh faces on offense Hawks fans should expect a fast paced game with tons of opportunities for rookies to prove their worth.
