Quinn Hughes did not wait long to give the fans in Minnesota what they were all waiting to see.

On Sunday night, Hughes suited up for the very first time as a member of the Minnesota Wild when he and his new team faced off against the Boston Bruins at the Grand Casino Arena.

Hughes was an impact player all night long, playing more minutes than any other member of the Wild's lineup through the first 40 minutes of the game, but despite his stellar play it was a while before he showed up on the scoresheet.

It would come eventually though and it came on the Wild's fourth goal of the game, with Hughes himself finding the back of the net for what is just his 3rd goal of the entire season. Despite only putting up 2 goals with the Canucks in his first 26 games of the regular season, it took Hughes just a little over two periods to put up his first for the Wild.

It was a shot from the top of the zone that was set up by teammate Ryan Hartman who found Hughes near the blue line with some open ice. Hughes would make no mistake and used that open ice to take a stride before firing the puck between the legs of Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman for his first with the Wild.

The goal brought every single fan in the building to their feet, all of whom roared with appreciation for their new star defenseman.
