Many within the organization believe Howard will be motivated to win back his job, and he doesn't have to worry about being traded — general manager Ken Holland said that won't happen anytime soon.That means Red Wings fans, including the ones who completely gave up on Howard last season will be seeing him again at least for the foreseeable future. It would also seem to indicate that Detroit isn't willing to hand the ball over to Petr Mrazek as a full time starter. However there is one other possibility, given Howard's abysmal performance when he returned from injury their simply may not be anyone willing to take on his big contract in a trade, and perhaps Holland is hoping Howard can get back into form next season and bring his value back up.
