For the second straight game a game changing goal has been denied in favor of the Montreal Canadiens. After Ottawa was denied a game tying goal in Game 6 of the playoffs, the Lightning were denied a goal in the first overtime period of Game 1 against Montreal. This time it was referee Eric Furlatt and it was questionable at best. According to the referee's they waived the goal off for goaltender interference, however if this were true why would they head to the booth to review the play? Goaltender interference is not a reviewable play something referee Eric Furlatt was kind enough to mention after he reviewed it. Just to be clear, you can make the argument that it was goaltender interference, it did appear Price was pushed even though he himself put the pick in the net,but that was clearly not the call made on the ice. It's a bad look for the NHL and it's officials. [embed][/embed]
