Needless to say Blackhawks fans we're a little alarmed at Corey Crawford getting his bell rung last night. The Chicago Blackhawks goaltender looked dazed after Minnesota Wild defenseman Marco Scandella blasted a hard slap-shot off of Crawford's mask in Game 2 of their second-round series. The force of the shot made a dent in Crawford's new carbon-fiber mask. "Yeah, it was a new one. He gone," Crawford said. Crawford shook it off and insisted he was "fine" after the game. "That was kind of a bomb from almost the corner. I saw it like last second and I kind of turned my head and lost my balance a little bit," he said. Head coach Joel Quenneville relayed the same message to reporters. "He was fine and he is fine," Quenneville said. Crawford stopped 30 of 31 shots in the Blackhawks Game 2 win. Great to see he's ok.
