REPORT: I'm not sure if this is good news or bad news.

We reported yesterday that the Oilers were close to resigning veteran goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov in order to help with their brutal goaltending this season. The backlash from the fan base was swift, and harsh, Oilers fans made it crystal clear that they did not want Ilya Bryzgalov on their team under any circumstance, they had been there and done that. Well Oilers fans today got their wish, Hockey Insider Pierre Lebrun is now reporting that Ilya Bryzgalov is attending a tryout with the Ducks, and will likely sign a deal with the team if things go according to plan. So here's the conundrum, I'm sure Oilers fans are overjoyed today that Bryzgalov is not likely to be  wearing an Oilers uniform and rightfully so. He only lasted 9 games last year before being shipped out of town. However there's a negative side to this coin as well. What does it say about the Oilers ability to attract players to their market if they can't even entice a player of Bryzgalov's caliber to sign with the club? Only time will tell if the Oilers dodged a bullet, I for one am happy the Ducks picked up that quack and not the Oilers.
