P.K. Subban's slash to the hand of Ottawa Senators rookie Mark Stone may have started an all out war in the Montreal vs. Ottawa playoff series. For those of you who missed it, Subban slashed Stone away from the play during the Wednesday night match up between the two teams, and was ejected from the game for his actions. You can see the video of the incident in our report last night which can be found here. The Senators are clearly upset that Subban would go after one of their best players so early in the series, and now Ottawa Senators Head Coach David Cameron has made a clear threat to the NHL and to the Montreal Canadiens. Cameron Spoke to reporters following the game and made this statement:
"I think it's an easy solution," Cameron. "You either suspend him or one of their best players gets slashed and just give us five."
The message is clear, either Subban gets suspended, or Ottawa will take matters into their own hands and retaliate by going after one of Montreal's star players, likely Subban himself. However even if Subban is suspended no one would be shocked to see Ottawa retaliate for the attack on Stone. One thing is certain this series just got very itneresting.
