The Flyers have had their fair share of problems this season but for the most part goaltender Steve Mason has been solid. His team is outshot most games and their defensive performance has been porous at best. Tuesday's 3-2 OT loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets has compounded things and it is possible that Mason is fed up with his team letting him down nearly every game. Philly.com's Sam Carchidi reported that Mason called out his team after the loss. “It’s frustrating. You win one game, you feel good, and you go right back to that losing,” he said. “Guys have to understand the importance of putting together a streak where you can actually start making ground. You can’t take two steps forward and then two steps back. It won’t get you anywhere. It’s just too much inconsistent play and not strong enough play that’s gonna win hockey games."
