Report: Warrant issued for ex-NHLers arrest after violent slashing incident.

Things are beginning to get very serious in the case of former Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers enforcer André Deveaux. Swedish prosecutor Margareta Danielsson-Olvon has issued a warrant for the arrest of Deveaux. After a home video of Deveaux brutally assaulting a player during warmups went viral, his contract has been terminated by Rogle BK of Sweden’s second-tier professional league. In addition, the victim of his attack Per Helmerrson of VIK Vasteras HK is pressing charges against Deveaux for his act. According to Danielsson-Olvon, the whereabouts of Deveaux are unknown at this time. The 31-year-old is wanted under suspicion of assault. If he does not turn himself into police Sweden could issue an international arrest warrant for Deveaux. In an updated video released by Swedish Press, an even more disturbing revelation was made. You can clearly see one of Rogle BK’s assistant coaches lean in and tell something to Deveaux before he skates out to get Helmerrsson. Although there’s no proof the coach instructed Deveaux to initiate, it certainly does not look like Deveaux was planning anything until the conversation.
