During the Monday night game between the Calgary Flames and Dallas Stars, the Stars' Brett Ritchie took a clear cut head shot at the Flames' Sean Monahan. You can take a look at the video below and judge for yourself, there's really no defending the hit. However despite that fact Ritchie was only given a two minute minor, likely because Monahan wasn't injured on the play, but is that really the message we should be sending? Apparently head shots are ok as long as no injury results from them.
