Ron Hextall speaks candidly about injured Flyers defense. (VIDEO)

Ron Hextall addressed the media on the week-end specifically regarding the health of his defensemen. The main topic of conversation was rookie Shayne Gostisbehere and his status following a torn ACL. Hextall surprised everyone, including me, when he announced that he did not believe the injury was season ending. Early reports had suggested that Gostisbehere would be out for at the very least the remainder of the regular season. Hextall feels that although Gostisbehere will be out for several months, he does expect him to make his return during the season. When asked about how unlucky the Flyers have been with injuries on the blue line, both in the NHL and the AHL, Hextallwas clear:

"It's been non stop, what are you going to do? You gotta deal with it, no one is going to feel sorry for us"
