Rumor: The Buffalo Sabres are planning another mega-trade.

Less than a year removed from making one of the biggest trades in recent memory it appears Buffalo Sabres general manager Tim Murray may have another blockbuster trade on his mind. According to a recent radio interview on Sportsnet 960 Elliotte Friedman believes Murray is the man most likely to pull the trigger on a trade involving the New York Rangers, and more specifically their star forward Rick Nash.

“The team I think to watch in something like this is a team like Buffalo. They already went out and they got Evander Kane. I could see them being interested in a player like Nash too. Tim’s a bit aggressive that way."

Acquiring a 40 goal scorer would certainly speed up the rebuild in Buffalo, and there's a very real belief that the Rangers want to get Nash's monster cap hit off their books, however Nash does have some control over his own destiny.
