Ryan Kesler receives a game misconduct for hit from behind on Shea Weber.

Another ugly looking hit.

Based on comments made by Team USA before the game it sounded like they were coming into this exhibition game to send a message to Team Canada and while you may not agree with the tactics they used, they certainly did that.

It was Boston Bruins forward David Backes who got things started with a huge hit on his former teammate and that was quickly followed up by a nasty hit from Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie, a hit that send San Jose's Logan Couture head first into the boards.

Unfortunately for Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Kesler the officials were likely paying close attention after missing the hit from Oshie, and when Kesler hit Canadiens defenseman Shea Weber from behind he was given a 5 minute major and a game misconduct. He could potentially miss time as a result of this hit.
