Thursday night's episode of Celebrity Family Feud on ABC was supposed to be a fun outing for the Barstool Sports crew. Instead, it turned into one of the most humiliating performances in the show's history, and former NHL defenseman Ryan Whitney became the face of the disaster.

Team Barstool, featuring Dave Portnoy, Whitney, Rico Bosco, Kirk Minihane, Jersey Jerry, and Stu Feiner, squared off against the family of Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg. The final score was a staggering 543 to zero.

That is not a typo. Barstool failed to put a single point on the board.

But the biggest talking point from the broadcast was Whitney's visible meltdown under the studio lights. The former Pittsburgh Penguins blueliner appeared to completely lock up on camera, standing motionless for extended stretches while the game slipped further and further away.

Barstool's own social media account leaned into the moment, posting a clip with the caption, "He froze, my guy hasn't moved in 40 minutes." Portnoy himself piled on, writing that Whitney "was just as confused at the end of Family Feud as he was at the end of Surviving Barstool. Just couldn't understand how freezing under pressure hurt the team."

Clips of what fans quickly dubbed the "Whitney Freeze" spread rapidly across TikTok and X, turning the moment into an instant meme.

The evening also featured another memorable exchange. When host Steve Harvey asked contestants to "name something a player probably has that a regular guy might not," Portnoy responded without hesitation with a crude anatomical answer.

“Big d*ck,” Portnoy said without hesitation.

Harvey stood speechless for over 10 seconds before walking across the set to personally apologize to Cooper Flagg's mother, Kelly.

"It's their last time on this show," Harvey quipped about Team Barstool.

The Flagg family not only dominated the head to head matchup but also cruised through the bonus round, winning $25,000 for the Ronald McDonald House charity.

Barstool's official account summed up the night with brutal honesty: "Zero points. Zero steals. Zero heart."

As the clips keep trending, Whitney will have to live with his frozen moment becoming one of the most shared clips of the week, a rough look for someone who spent years competing under the brightest lights professional hockey has to offer.
