Scary moment as Burrows takes a skate to the face! (VIDEO)

Scary moment during the only game on the docket today when yet another NHL player was struck by a skate. It could just be my perception, but it seems that these incidents are occurring more frequently this season than I have ever seen in any season prior. Today the Vancouver Canucks Alex Burrows was the victim when he went down in front of his own net, and took the skate of Red Wings forward Johan Franzen to the face. It was a pretty scary moment to see as it appeared Burrows had sustained a significant injury according to the broadcast crew. You can watch it all here courtesy of the NHL.
