Scott Gomez takes out former teammate with a vicious elbow.

Scott Gomez was almost universally hated by Canadiens fans during his time in Montreal, and he certainly didn't help his case tonight. After taking a big time hit from Alexei Emelin during the second period, Gomez responded in predatory fashion with his elbow. While Emelin was standing in front of the Canadiens net keeping an eye on the puck, Gomez nailed the unsuspecting Emelin with a vicious elbow to the chin that busted Emelin open. It was clearly retaliation for the hit, but the fashion in which Gomez got his revenge was unsportsmanlike to say the least.
