Brendan Shanahan deserves to count himself among these greats as he was an intricate piece of the Red Wings teams that won 3 championships. His unique mix of physical play and goal scoring ability made him a terror to opposing teams. In 1524 NHL games, Shanahan scored a remarkable 656 goals and 1354 points.He is currently the President and alternate governor for the Toronto Maple Leafs, after serving as the director of player safety for the NHL.
