The Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers delivered one of the most physical games of the postseason thus far on Thursday night.

The biggest hit of the game thus far however belongs to the Canadiens courtesy of offseason acquisition Andrew Shaw. A little over halfway through the second period Shaw stepped up and delivered a monster hit to New York's Oscar Lindberg sending him crashing down to the ice.

Unfortunately for Lindberg on top of the punishing hit he was also cut by the helmet of Shaw, although it does not appear to have been done intentionally by Shaw.

Here's the hit.
