When attempting to list the all time greatest Blackhawks to ever play, Steve Larmer may not be the first player that comes to mind. This is a travesty, as Larmer is one of the most underrated players to ever wear the Indian-head. Larmer played for Chicago his entire career spanning from 1980-81 through to 1992-93. Believe it or not, he never missed the playoffs in his career. Even more impressive is the fact that Larmer never missed a game for any reason. He played in 884 consecutive games, a team record and NHL record for consecutive games with one franchise. Larmer ended his career with 923 points (406 goals/571 assists), and is the Blackhawks all time leader in game winning goals. A great two way player, his career plus-minus is an incredible +182. All these factors considered, it is almost unfathomable that Larmer has yet to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
