Despite the fact that he suffered a brutal injury that has kept him out for significant time, Tanner Pearson now has a brand new deal. Pearson's camp and the Los Angeles Kings came to terms on a two year deal worth a reported $2.8 million dollars, making his average annual cap hit $1.4 million dollars. Pearson's name actually came up a few times this season in trade rumors, but every time the Kings denied having any interest in trading away the young forward. Pearson was off to a strong start this season, recording 12 goals and 4 helpers in 42 games with the Kings, but he would eventually be sidelined by a broke ankle. Prior to the injury Pearson had earned rookie of the month honors in October.
