Taylor Hall gets hit so hard his stick explodes.

New Jersey Devils star forward Taylor Hall was the victim of a huge hit on Thursday night.

Washington Capitals veteran defenseman Brooks Orpik caught Hall coming across the blue line on a zone entry and delivered a solid hit strong enough to cause Hall's stick to break apart while he was still in mid air.

To Hall's credit he did a great job of bouncing back up to his feet quickly, unfortunately he was unable to extract any revenge as his teammates had already swarmed Orpik despite the hit being a clean textbook check.
