It was a night where things came in pairs for the Red Wings. It really only took two men to dismantle the defending Stanley Cup champions, those men were Pavel Datsyuk and Gustav Nyquist. Both Nyquist and Datsyuk had a pair of goals in a 5-2 thrashing of the Los Angeles Kings. The Red Wings stagnant power play suddenly came alive last night as the Wings scored twice with the man advantage. Nyquist also added an assist, improving his season point total to 9. "That was good, big for our power play," said Gustav Nyquist, who scored each of the power-play goals in the first period. "I think it's been getting better and better, and today we converted on the first two opportunities there, so that was good." Niklas Kronwall and Henrik Zetterberg each had two assists, and Jimmy Howard made 28 saves for the Red Wings (6-2-2). Here is the game winner from the rookie sensation.
