A throwback to the worst backcheck in NHL history, staring Alex Ovechkin! (VIDEO)

Today we stumbled upon a hilarious Vine from TSN's Bardown account that featured Alex Ovechkin demonstrating arguably the worst backchecking effort you are ever going to see in a professional hockey game. So we decided to track down the play in which it occurred to see if it was really as bad as it looked in the vine, and our conclusion from watching the video is that in fact, the Vine doesn't do the play justice. No after watching the YouTube video that shows the play from multiple angles we are quite convinced that it's much much worse then even the Vine shows. First here's the Vine courtesy of Bardown.
