Turns out Randy Caryle is a pretty funny guy! (VIDEO)

Last night after a big 2-1 victory over the Detorit Red Wings, one of the best team's in the league at the moment, Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle demonstrated not just a great memory, but a pretty fantastic sense of humor as well. When asked about how he felt Leafs goalie James Reimer played last night Caryle simply responded:

“He was just OK,” and then Carlyel busted out laughing before finishing with. “I’ve been waiting a long time for that. So you guys can package that someplace.”

For those of you who don't get the joke Caryle is referencing back nine months to comments he made following a 4-2 loss to the very same Detroit Red Wings. After the game Caryle had called Reimer's performance "just ok" and those comments had sparked a media firestorm that lasted for several days. Obviously Reimer's performance last night was much better than just ok, and Caryle's laughter after his comments signified as much. One could even argue that Reimer is the one and only reason the Leafs won the game, stopping 41 shots as well as two more in the shoot out. It was good to say Caryle have a laugh at the media's expense, not only was it immensely entertaining, but it shows that the coach is in good spirits, something that likely has a positive impact on his club.
