The Chicago Blackhawks and New York Islanders game got off to a slow start with the score tied at 0-0 after the first period. But the second period saw that change very quickly, in fact in just six seconds both teams suddenly were on the board. The Blackhawks Dan Carcillo beat Jaroslav Halak with a wrist shot the beat Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak, and that was immediately followed by Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith leaving his goaltender Scott Darling out to dry. Keith fed the puck to the Islanders Carl Clutterbuck on a turnover that was so bad it looked like he meant to set up Clutterbuck for the goal.
